Confidentiality Policy

Protection and Privacy of Client data is absolute and as such we are dedicated to ensuring all data that we handle is treated as private and confidential. All Client reports are maintained on our private server. Clients will be given a Login and Password toaccess their reports on our private server.

I. Policy Brief & Purpose

Davis Investigation Services (DIS) designed our company confidentiality policyto explain how we expect our employees and clients totreat confidential information. Employees will unavoidably receive and handle personal and private information about clients, donors, partners and our company. We want to make sure that this information is well-protected and as such is not permitted under any circumstances to be communicated or disseminated in any way to anyone other than client designated representative(s) or the DIS client portal which is the primary method for passing data to our clients.

We must protect this information for three reasons. It may:

  • Be legally binding (e.g. sensitive customer data.)
  • Breach FCRA requirements
  • All data we collect and or provide is private and confidential and as such is never to be communicated or disseminated in any form to outside parties not approved by the client DIS agreement.

II. Scope

This policy affects all employees and clients, including board members, investors, contractors and volunteers, who may have access to confidential information.

III. Policy Elements

Private, Confidential and proprietary information is secret, valuable, expensive and/or easily replicated. Common examples of confidential information are:

  • Data of Customers/Partners/Vendors/Donors
  • Patents Drug and Alcohol Test Results
  • Data entrusted to our company by external parties
  • Documents and processes explicitly marked as confidential
  • Login & Password for all websites used by DIS
  • Unpublished goals, financial information, forecasts and initiatives marked as confidential

Employees and clientstake full responsibility for their portion of the data and its storage and must ensure access to this information is always maintained, monitored and restricted.

Any breach of this policy will result in disciplinary and, possibly, legal action. DIS will investigate every breach of this policy. Due to the private and confidential nature of DIS business, DIS will terminate any business relationship that willfully breach this policy. Equally DIS will terminate any employee who willfullybreaches this policy.
